Next Celtic Manager Betting Odds Now Have Owen Coyle As Favourite But Look Out For Alan Curbishley
Wednesday 27 May 2009 at 11:36
The Next Celtic Manager Betting Odds have changed dramatically over the last 24 hour and it is now Burnley manager Owen Coyle who is favourite, but there is plenty of money for one of the original outsiders to get the job.
Coyle The New Favourite
Owen Coyle, who this week got Burnley promoted to the Premiership, is now as short as 1/2 with William Hill to land the job yet Blue Square and SkyBet are happy to offer 6/4 about his chances. Coyle would be a great choice for Celtic so it is no wonder he is favourite.
Curbs Gets Backed
One manager who has been very well backed this morning is former West Ham boss Alan Curbishley. He was best priced 20/1 yesterday but is now as short as 8/1 in places. Skybet still offer 14/1 about his chances and those odds may not last long.
Mowbray's Chance May Have Gone
Tony Mowbray, who was hot favourite for the job yesterday, is now out to 5/2 with Blue Square and SkyBet and only VC Bet still make him the favourite. It seems there may be an issue with the compensation package required to release Mowbray from his contract and that may have scuppered his chances of landing the job.
