Next Celtic Manager Betting Odds See Mark McGhee And Craig Levein Shortened
Friday 05 June 2009 at 11:44
The Next Celtic Manager Betting Odds For Mark McGhee and Craig Levein have been shortened over the past 24 hours but it is still West Brom manager Tony Mowbray who is expected to land the job.
Mowbray Still Odds On
Tony Mowbray remains the odds on favourite to land the Celtic position, he can be backed at odds of 4/7 with Bet365 and Blue Square. It appear that Celtic have made Tony Mowbray their first choice but things aren't moving very quickly at this stage.
Money For McGhee and Levein
In indecision over appointing a new manager seems to have led to Mark McGhee and Craig Levein both being backed. McGhee, who was Gordon Strachan's recommendation to take over, has been cut by several bookies and is 6/1 in places but SkyBet still offer 9/1. Levein is also best priced at SkyBet, they offer 20/1 despite several bookies shortening him to. He is as short as 12/1 so the prices on these two with SkyBet are unlikely to last.
Owen Coyle Staying At Burnley
Burnley manager Owen Coyle has been the one who has drifted due to the support for McGhee and Levein, he is now out to 6/1 with SkyBet. Coyle has been odds on favourite in this market before and the fact he is now such a big price suggests he will be staying put at Burnley.
