Next West Brom Manager Betting Odds Still Have No Clear Favourite
Wednesday 17 June 2009 at 11:33
There is still no clear favourite to be appointed the Next West Brom Manager but the search for a new manager is well underway with Tony Mowbray having been confirmed as Celtic manager yesterday.
One Bookie Fancies McInnes
The shortest price any manager is with any bookie to land the West Brom job is Derek McInnes who is 6/4 at Bet365. McInnes is currently in charge of St Johnstone and Bet365 are clearly ducking him by offering that price. If you still want to back Derek McInnes you should take the 5/2 on offer with VC Bet and SkyBet.
Same Again For Irvine
Also best priced at 5/2 is Preston Manager Alan Irvine, who is that price with Bet365 and VC Bet but only 9/4 with SkyBet. Irvine has restored Preston to the level they were a few years back and he is clearly a very good manager and West Brom would be wanting him to do exactly to them what he did at Preston.
Aidy Boothroyd A Good And Easy Appointment
There could be a better bet than these two though, Aidy Boothroyd is very interesting at 3/1 with Bet365 (as short as 5/2 with SkyBet). Boothroyd is not only a good young manager who is familiar with the Championship, but he is also based in the Midlands and available which means an agreement between the two parties would be very easy.
