Harry Redknapp Shock Favourite In Next Premiership Manager To Leave Or Be Sacked
Friday 02 October 2009 at 12:32
Harry Redknapp has become the hot new favourite in the Next Premiership Manager To Go Betting Odds after rumours about the Tottenham manager's future started to come out this morning.
No Smoke Without Fire In This Market
It seems there may have been a bust up at White Hart Lane either last night or this morning and as a result Harry Redknapp has been backed from 50/1 into as short as even money to be the next manager out. The best price Redknapp can be backed at to be next to leave is 2/1 with Paddy Power and that is much bigger than all the other current quotes available from the bookies. There is rarely smoke without fire in these markets and it seems Redknapp could already be a goner.
Value On Other Managers If Spurs Rumours Are Unfounded
If you think the rumours about Redknapp leaving Tottenham have no substance then now is the time to get a bit of value in the Next Premiership Manager To Go odds. If it is not Redknapp then Paul Hart and Phil Brown look by far the most likely due, Hart is out to 3/1 with Paddy Power and SkyBet whilst Brown is 3/1 with SkyBet and William Hill. Both could be worth backing with one of them almost certain to be next if Redknapp doesn't go.
Fergie The Safest Manager
The safest of the managers now appears to be Sir Alex Ferguson, the Man Utd manager is 66/1 with VC Bet and Paddy Power. One at big odds who could feasibly leave first is Mark Hughes, the Man City manager is always under pressure to perform and is 33/1 with Paddy Power and SkyBet.
