Ricky Whittles Odds Shorten Again In Strictly Come Dancing 2009 Betting
Tuesday 20 October 2009 at 16:12
Week six of Strictly Come Dancing and this week sees the couples dancing an American Smooth or a Samba.
Ten For Ricky
Ricky Whittle strengthened his grip on series seven of Strictly Come Dancing when he received the first perfect score of ten from new judge Alesha Dixon for last week's Viennese Waltz. Some bookmakers have understandably made Whittle odds on but Bet365 and Stan James still offer 11/10.
Disappointing Week For Ali Bastian
Second favourite Ali Bastian could manage only fourth on the judge's leader board last week and as a result Skybet have pushed her price out to an industry best of 4/1.
Jade Jumps Up The Leader board
The surprise mover in the betting last week was Jade Johnson who after finishing just behind Ricky Whittle on the judges' scores has been backed into a general 12/1. That price is available with Boylesports and Coral amongst others.
Laila and Anton Continue To Have Problems
After a high profile disagreement the week before, rumours were rife that Laila Rouass and Anton Du Beke had fallen out again shortly before Saturday's programme.
They danced a jive and looked completely uncoordinated with each other suggesting that their early successes may be well behind them. Laila and Anton are now a best priced 14/1 with Skybet
Zoe Shocked To Be In Dance Off
Former Footballers Wives star Zoe Lucker has been the revelation of the series so far, pushing for the lead in the three previous weeks but this week's jive did not impress the public and they ended up in the dance off. Surprisingly bookmakers have not pushed her odds to win the competition out too much – Zoe can still be backed at 16/1 with Sportingbet and Blue Square.
