Old Firm Managers Under Pressure As Bookies Bet On Rangers Or Celtic Losing Manager First
Friday 30 October 2009 at 09:57
Both Old Firm managers are under pressure in the SPL and Paddy Power are now betting on who loses their job first, Rangers boss Walter Smith or Celtic gaffer Tony Mowbray, who only landed the job in the Summer.
Pressure Mounts On Both Smith And Mowbray
Both sets of fans have booed their sides off this week and Paddy Power offer 4/1 that Tony Mowbray is not in charge of Celtic at the end of the season and you can get just 15/8 with Paddy Power that Walter Smith has been replaced as Rangers manager by the end of the season. It is no surprise therefore that Smith is favourite to lose his job first, Paddy Power go just 1/2 on that and 6/4 that Mowbray is first out the door.
One Manager Likely To Go But At Least One Should Be Safe
It seems fairly unlikely that both managers will keep their jobs this season, Paddy Power are offering odds of 8/11 that both Walter Smith and Tony Mowbray still have a job at the end of the season. One manager's demise could be another's grace though as Paddy Power go 12/1 that both managers lose their job this season. For more manager betting in the SPL visit the Paddy Power website.
