Next Scotland Manager Betting Odds Have Craig Levein And Walter Smith As Favourites Before George Burley Is Sacked
Monday 16 November 2009 at 10:28
Next Scotland Manager Betting Odds are already available with George Burley likely to be sacked this week after failing to qualify for the World Cup and then being thrashed 3-0 by Wales at the weekend.
Craig Levein And Walter Smith Are Most Likely To Replace Craig Burley
Heading the queue to replace Burley are Craig Levein and Walter Smith, meaning the manager is likely to once again be Scottish. Levein is edging things with the bookies at the moment, the Dundee Utd boss is best priced 4/1 with Ladbrokes but VC Bet go just 9/4. If Levein misses out then it seems Walter Smith could be in for a second stint as Scotland manager, he left the job to become Rangers manager in 2007 but is 5/1 with SkyBet and VC Bet to land the job again.
If SFA Go Foreign Then Guus Hiddink Looks The Man For The Job
It certainly seems the SFA will be sticking to Scottish managers, Jim Jefferies is 10/1 with VC Bet (just 3/1 with Ladbrokes), Gary McAllister is 14/1 with SkyBet and Graeme Souness is 16/1 with Ladbrokes. If a foreigner is appointed then SkyBet think it will be Guus Hiddink, the Russia manager is 20/1.
