Thursday 17 December 2009 at 12:13
Christmas Number One 2009 Odds have once again changed with X Factor Winner Joe McElderry regaining his position at the head of the Christmas Number Betting at the expense of Rage Against The Machine, who had spent less than 24 hours as favourite.
Joe McElderry Now Long Odds On To Top The Charts
It has been one of the most interesting battles in recent years for the Christmas Number One and although the Facebook campaign ‘Rage Against The X Factor' might fail to get ‘Killing In The Name' to number one, it has definitely brought the excitement of Christmas Number One back. Joe McElderry is now just 2/9 with Bet365 and Paddy Power to be number one on Sunday having been as big as evens yesterday.
Rage Against The Machine On The Drift As McElderry CD Sales Accumulate
Rage Against The Machine have drifted out to 3/1 with Bet365 and William Hill despite being backed at just 4/6 this week. It looks as though the CD sales for ‘The Climb' have kicked in, with the single going to the shops late due to the X Factor result not being known until Sunday. Simon Cowell is due to get his wish it seems and score yet another Christmas Number One, if you still fancy a bet on the Christmas Number One Album, or a White Christmas, click on any of the bookie links above.
