Grand National 2010 Betting Sees Support For Possol Thursday 17 December 2009 at 15:07 Grand National betting has seen plenty of recent support for Possol. Henry Daly's Possol is being whispered as the young horse to watch out for when the weights are published for the Grand National early in 2010.
Possol Grand National Odds Cut To 25/1 Following Hat-Trick
Daly's six-year-old gelding has won all of his last three starts and is as low as 25/1 to win the 2010 Grand National with Paddy Power.
Possol has been campaigned over hurdles so far this season and has won his two outings over the smaller obstacles, adding to a sign-off victory over fences at the end of last season.
Earlier last year Possol advertised his long-term Grand National claims with a third placing behind Mon Mome in a valuable handicap chase at Cheltenham.
Stable Due Change Of National Luck
Henry Daly will be keeping his fingers crossed that his young charge has better luck than the majority of his stable inmates who have attempted the National before as only one previous runner from the Daly yard has completed the course in five attempts since 2000.
However, as Possol as yet to fail to finish a race there must be every hope that the young horse can negotiate a clear round at the very least.
Owner keen For Racing Post Aintree Double
Owner Neville Statham confirmed the National was the ultimate aim with another crack at the Racing Post Chase also on the agenda after Possol's gallant second to Nacarat in that race in 2009.
