FA Cup Draw For Fifth Round Means Chelsea Are Hot Favourites In FA Cup Odds With Man City And Aston Villa Next Best
Monday 25 January 2010 at 10:33
The FA Cup Fifth Round Draw was made on Sunday and a favourable FA Cup Draw for Chelsea, Man City and Aston Villa meant all three teams were shortened in the FA Cup Betting Odds. Spurs, who already have a tough replay against Leeds, received another tough draw and were one of the few teams to drift in the FA Cup Odds.
Chelsea The Only Big Four Side Left In Competition
With Man Utd, Liverpool and now Arsenal out of the FA Cup it seems the competition is at the mercy of Chelsea, who received a home tie against Cardiff. That is a very winnable game and as a result Chelsea were cut to a best price of 7/4 with Ladbrokes. Man City don't have the easiest game against Stoke but home advantage in the game will be crucial for them and they are now second favourites at 4/1 with Totesport and Coral. Aston Villa are not far behind though and can be backed at 7/1 with VC Bet and Blue Square having drawn either Crystal Palace or Wolves.
Spurs Have Two Tough Games To Reach Sixth Round
Spurs are fourth favourites at 8/1 with Blue Square and Ladbrokes but they have to not only beat Leeds at Elland Road, but also Bolton at the Reebok Stadium. They have always struggled at that stadium and may have to hope for another replay to take them back to White Hart Lane. Fulham are best of the outsiders at 14/1 with Boylesports (they take on Notts County or Wigan) whilst Birmingham are surprise contenders at 16/1 with Bet365, who offer up to £200 in free bets to new customers. Birmingham face Derby in the Fifth Round. For more FA Cup Betting Odds and to see all the FA Cup Fixtures click on any of the bookies links above.
