General Election Date Likely To Be May 6th For Gordon Brown
Tuesday 26 January 2010 at 10:08
It looks like Prime Minister Gordon Brown will call a UK General Election on May 6th 2010 after Defence Secretary Bob Ainsworth seemingly accidentally let slip the date in an interview with Sky News.
Have We Been Told The Date Of The Election
Mr Ainsworth told Sky News in an interview:
"I think the electorate will rue the day if they wind up with a Conservative government in charge of this country after the 6th of May."
May was already the favourite month with bookmakers but it has now been cut to a best price 1/5 with Ladbrokes
Conservatives Almost Certain To Win Election Whenever It May Be
Despite the exact date still to be officially announced David Cameron and Conservatives at a very skinny 1/12 with SkyBet to be in number 10 after the election which makes them almost a certainty. Labour are 13/2 with Paddy Power and the Liberals a huge 150/1 with Bet365 to be leading the country after the electorate have cast their votes.
