Oscars 2010 Betting Odds Suggest Inglourious Could Beat Both Avatar And The Hurt Locker

Oscars 2010 Betting Odds are suggesting that Inglourious Basterds could be set to beat Best Picture favourites Avatar and The Hurt Locker and William Hill strongly agree.
Bookies Running Scared Of Inglourious Basterds As Gamble Gains Momentum
William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams had this to say about the latest Oscars rumours:
“There is a theory going round that the tactics being employed by the big two to get votes has annoyed academy members and they have voted for the third choice which is Inglorious.”
This was reflected in the Best Picture Odds from William Hill as they cut Inglourious Basterds from 16/1 to 10/1 whilst Bet365, who offer up to £200 in free bets to new customers, shortened Quentin Tarantino's film from 14/1 to 12/1. You can still get 16/1 with Boylesports and 888Sport but those odds probably won't last long.
Kathryn Bigelow The Hot Favourite To Win Best Director For The Hurt Locker
Even if there is a revolt against The Hurt Locker and Avatar it doesn't look as though it will impact the Best Director award as Kathryn Bigelow, director of The Hurt Locker, is a very short priced favourite at 1/4 with VC Bet. Avatar James Cameron is rated a distant second favourite at 10/3 with Bet365 and SkyBet and if you think the Academy could overlook the ‘Big Two' then Quentin Tarantino would look a massive price at 33/1 with Coral.
