Oscars 2010 Betting Odds For Best Actor And Best Actress Have Jeff Bridges And Sandra Bullock Hot Favourites
Sunday 07 March 2010 at 08:45
Jeff Bridges is the shortest price favourite at the Oscars 2010 ceremony which will take place late tonight. The final preparations are being made and the final bets are being placed and it looks as though there could be some good bets from the Oscars Betting Odds 2010.
Jeff Bridges Looks To Be One Of The Certainties Of The Night
In the Best Actor category Jeff Bridges has been the favourite ever since he won the Best Actor award at the Golden Globes for the film Crazy Heart. He has gradually shortened in the Best Actor Betting Odds and he is now the shortest price favourite at the 2010 Oscars, he can currently be backed at just 1/6 with Bet365, who offer up to £200 in free bets to new customers. George Clooney is the joint second favourite at 14/1 with Bet365 whilst Colin Firth, who won the equivalent award at the BAFTAs, is 14/1 with Boylesports.
Best Actress Award Could Be One Of The Tightest Decisions All Night
As for the Best Actress category, it is a much tighter event with Sandra Bullock the odds on favourite at 4/6 with 888Sport and Blue Square. She looks a fairly short favourite but watch out for second favourite Meryl Streep. The veteran actress is a real favourite of the academy, having racked up almost 20 Oscars nominations in her career, and she could upset first time nominee Bullock at odds of 2/1 with Bet365 and SkyBet. This could be as big a battle as is expected in the Best Picture category between The Hurt Locker which is the favourite at 5/6 with Ladbrokes and Avatar which is just behind at 6/5 with Bet365.
