Oxford And Cambridge Boat Race 2010 Betting Odds Have Oxford As Clear Favourites
Wednesday 31 March 2010 at 11:17
Boat Race 2010 Betting Odds have Oxford as hot favourites to beat Cambridge on Saturday for the third year running. Cambridge have currently won 79 boat races compared to Oxford's 75 but by Saturday night the bookies expect there to be just three wins between the rivals.
Oxford Hot Favourites To Close The Gap On Cambridge
Oxford are currently rated at just 2/5 with Stan James to win their fifth Boat Race in six years, Ladbrokes are going just 1/4 that Oxford win the 2010 Boat Race. If you want to back Cambridge to pick up their form and lengthen the gap of total wins then you can get very generous odds, Cambridge can be backed at 11/4 with Ladbrokes to win the Boat Race. The last dead heat was in 1877 and we would guess the technology is a bit better these days but if you fancy another dead heat in 2010 you can get a huge 150/1 with Ladbrokes.
Price On A Boat To Sink Looks Generous
For the neutrals looking for a bit of entertainment the 33/1 with William Hill on a boat sinking could be an interesting bet. In 1978 Cambridge's boat famously sank and that was voted into 79th place on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Sporting Moments. Oddly, in 1912, the year the Titanic sunk, both boats in the Boat Race also sank and the race had to be re-run. This means the 33/1 with William Hill could be a big price. William Hill are also betting on a new record being set and they offer 8/1 for that. If you want to bet on the winning distance, the winning time, or anything else, visit the Ladbrokes website.
