David O Leary Now Favourite In Next Coventry Manager Betting Odds
Wednesday 05 May 2010 at 10:56
Next Coventry Manager Betting Odds now have David O'Leary the most likely manager to fill Chris Coleman's boots. Coleman was sacked on Tuesday morning and within a couple of hours, SkyBet, who had been offering 50/1 on O'Leary, had shortened the ex Leeds manager down to 12/1.
David O'Leary The New Favourite Ahead Of Cotterill And Mowbray
VC Bet always had O'Leary a relatively short price and he is currently their favourite at odds of 3/1. O'Leary has not managed since leaving Aston Villa in 2006 but he has plenty of experience at the top level and would surely appeal to Coventry. If the new manager isn't David O'Leary then it looks most likely to be Steve Cotterill or Tony Mowbray, who were the two favourites to land the yesterday. Cotterill has done a good job at Notts County recently and he is 7/2 with VC Bet, ahead of former Celtic manager Tony Mowbray who can be backed at 9/2 with SkyBet.
Gary McAllister Well Fancied For Coventry Return
The only other manager in the Next Coventry Manager Betting Odds with single figure odds is Gary McAllister, who would seem a decent appointment for Coventry at 8/1 with VC Bet. If Coventry go for experience then the likes of Peter Taylor would certainly appeal, he is a very good manager at this level and can be backed at 12/1 with VC Bet, the same price of 12/1 with VC Bet is available for Gareth Southgate, Phil Brown and Gary Megson. Other big names in the running include George Burley at 14/1 with VC Bet and Alan Curbishley at 16/1 with VC Bet.
