UK General Election 2010 Betting Odds See Conservatives Well Supported But Hung Parliament Remains Likely
Thursday 06 May 2010 at 11:00
The UK General Election 2010 Betting Odds have seen plenty of money on the Conservatives winning the most seats at the polls today but it remains most likely that we will be seeing a hung parliament.
Conservative Victory At Election Is Very Long Odds On
The Conservatives are currently a best price of 1/14 with VC Bet to win the most seats according to the latest UK General Election Betting Odds and that shows just how certain they are to win the most seats, 1/14 makes it pretty much 100% sure. Most bookies have had to slash their odds on a Conservative victory today despite still being very short and they are as short as 1/25 with Totesport. In response to the support for the Conservatives, Labour have been drifting despite being popular yesterday and they are now best priced 12/1 with Totesport which is pretty huge considering the odds Labour have been recently. The Lib Dems went from 200/1 down to 9/1 after the first live debate but their stock has fallen again recently and they are now 66/1 with Betfred.
Hung Parliament Looking Very Likely If Current Odds Are Believed
It seems extremely likely that there now won't be a majority win leading to a hung parliament. The odds on a hung parliament have been very popular over the last month or so and it has now been backed all the way down to 4/6 with VC Bet. If you think the Conservatives can score a majority win then you can get quite generous odds of 11/8 with Paddy Power and Blue Square. A Labour majority seems unlikely and is 33/1 with Paddy Power whilst a Lib Dems majority seems almost impossible according to the UK General Election Betting Odds, it can be backed at 100/1 with VC Bet and Paddy Power.
