Tuesday 18 May 2010 at 11:18
The Next West Ham Manager Betting Odds were given a shake up yesterday after West Ham revealed their four manager shortlist to replace Gianfranco Zola, who was sacked a week ago.
Avram Grant Now Long Odds On To Land West Ham Job
The favourite in the Next West Ham Manager Betting Odds has always been Portsmouth manager Avram Grant and there were no surprises that his name was on the four manager shortlist. The revelation that he was on West Ham's shortlist of possible managers did lead to his price shortening even further in the Next West Ham Manager Betting Odds, Grant is now just 1/8 with VC Bet and Paddy Power. The next two managers in the betting are Slaven Bilic and Alex McLeish, they are 12/1 and 14/1 with VC Bet respectively. Neither manager though, is on the four man shortlist.
Other Three Shortlisted Managers All Shorten In Betting Odds
Sam Allardyce is a man who hadn't been linked too much with the Next West Ham Manager's job yet he is on the shortlist and that has led to his price shortening to 16/1 with VC Bet and Totesport. Dave Jones is also on the shortlist and he has come down to 25/1 with VC Bet and Totesport, although he is as short as 14/1 with Paddy Power whilst the final manager on the shortlist was an even more surprising choice, Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has shortened to 33/1 with VC Bet and Totesport.
