Next Fulham Manager Odds Has Mark Hughes As Strong Favourite
Tuesday 27 July 2010 at 16:52
The Next Fulham Manager odds are coming under close scrutiny as Mark Hughes is backed into a strong favourite as support weakens for Sven Goran Eriksson.
Ex-Man City Boss Hughes Linked To Fulham
Fulham Chairman Mohamed Al Fayed has sought talks with Mark Hughes to see if the former Man City manager can be tempted back to the Premiership. Al Fayed has been in no rush to replace Roy Hodgson, who has taken over at Liverpool, but Hughes has come in for significant recent support and is now a best-priced 7/4 with 888Sport and Blue Square to take over the reins at Craven Cottage .
Eriksson On The Drift But Bilic, Klinsmann or Hitzfeld Still Tempt Punters
Former England manager Sven Goran Eriksson is weak in the Next Fulham Manager market and is out to 5/2 with Bet 365 and VC Bet. This doesn't necessarily mean that Mark Hughes is a certainty to take the Fulham job and plenty of punters think Fulham could go with an overseas manager next season but just not with Eriksson.
Former Germany manager and Spurs player Jurgen Klinsmann continues to attract support and is steady in the market at 10/1 with Coral.
Another German manager Ottmar Hitzfeld has been attracting interest at big prices and the former Bayern Munich manager (now manager of Switzerland) is now only 20/1 with a couple of firms including Ladbrokes.
Perennial management candidate Slaven Bilic also makes an appearance here and the Croatia coach has attracted support with some firms but remains 25/1 with Bet 365.
