Chris Hughton is in danger according to the bookmakers of being the next Premiership Manager to lose his job. With just over a week before the Premiership returns the Geordies boss is favourite with all firms to walk out or be dismissed. There is a wide cross section of prices on offer with VC Bet chalking up 5/2, Paddy Power and William Hill go 4/1, SkyBet go 5/1 and biggest of the major firms are Ladbrokes at 11/2. Newcastle have a tricky start away to Manchester United and Hughton is expected to be under immediate pressure.
Roberto Could Be Next
Next in the Premier League Next Manager To Leave Post market are a trio of Roberto's, Di Matteo of West Brom is 10/1 with Coral. Mancini of Man City is 7/1 with Ladbrokes and he will surely be history if the big spenders start the season badly and Martinez at Wigan where Dave Whelan will want better performances than last season, Martinez can be backed at 8/1 with VC Bet.
Other managers in the sacking firing line are newly promoted Blackpool boss Ian Holloway at 10/1 with Paddy Power and Totesport, Olly may not wish to be beside the seaside if results go badly and down to earth pundit and Wolves manager Mick Mcarthy can be backed at 14/1 with William Hill to be leaving Molineux.
It remains to be seen who will be the first managerial casualty in the 2010/11 season, Paul Hart of Portsmouth was first out last season, he lost his job in November 2009 and Mark Hughes was turfed out of Eastlands the following month.
