Grant Likely To Be Given More Time But Mancini May Not Be
It is no real surprise that Avram Grant has become the favourite to be the next manager to leave their post, he is yet to gain a point as West Ham manager and Stoke away followed by Spurs at home doesn't look too easy either as they search for their first points. The good news for Grant, who is 11/4 with SkyBet to be first out, is that West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold insist they are not sacking managers, so having already sacked Gianfranco Zola they would really have some egg on their face if they sacked Grant so soon after appointing him. Better value probably lies with Mancini, who has immense pressure and expectation on his shoulders having spent more than £100m once again. Martinez And McLeish Look Safe But Hughton Must Be Worried
Roberto Martinez was the early favourite in the sack race but a win at Tottenham seems to have steadied his ship, Dave Whelan is unlikely to be forced into an early sacking and the 10/3 with SkyBet and Blue Square doesn't appeal much as Wigan would probably have to lose their next six games for Martinez to leave.
