Ayr Gold Cup 2010 Declarations, Runners, Odds And Tips Have Poets Place And Hawkeyethenoo The Favourites
Thursday 16 September 2010 at 12:56
The Ayr Gold Cup 2010 Declarations are in and the Ayr Gold Cup 2010 Betting Odds favourites seem to have been drawn across the track, meaning we should be in for a very interesting race at 15:20 on Saturday afternoon.
Poets Place Still The Favourite After Final Declarations
The Ayr Bronze Cup on Friday and the Ayr Silver Cup on Saturday before the Gold Cup takes place should give us an indication of any draw advantage but as it stands Poets Place should go off favourite, the ante post favourite was given stall 12 and is now rated at 6/1 with SkyBet, Stan James and Paddy Power. Drawn close to Poets Place in 16 is Hawkeyethenoo, who is rated at 9/1 with Bet365 and SkyBet whilst Victoire De Lyphar is now a joint second favourite, the three year old has been drawn high in stall 24. Out of the favourites it is the unexposed Poets Place who still looks the best bet at 6/1 with SkyBet, Stan James and Paddy Power.
Last Year's Winner Gets Similar Draw
Last year's winner Jimmy Styles returns to Ayr, he has been drawn in 14 for the race this year, having won from 15 last year, and he is 22/1 with William Hill for a repeat victory. Genki looks likely to go well, having won the Stewards Cup last year and finished third in the Group 1 Sprint Cup at Haydock last time out, he is 12/1 with SkyBet and Stan James ahead of the lightly raced Jonny Mudball, who has not finished out of the first two in his last four starts and is interesting at 14/1 with Bet365 and Paddy Power. At very big odds one to look out for is Arganil, he ran on well in the Portland Handicap last week and the softer ground should suit, there are worse 50/1 shots and those odds are available at Bet365 and William Hill.
