Ryder Cup Odds And Tips Suggest Europes Pairings Will Be Too Strong For The USA
Thursday 30 September 2010 at 15:56
The first day fourball pairings will be released later today but pundits have been attempting to forecast the likely set up for day one and bookmakers appear to have been taking note as they have pushed the USA out to 2/1 with Betfred and 15/8 with VC Bet and Stan James.
Woods Likely To Play With Stricker And McIlroy With McDowell
The practice sessions of the Ryder Cup have seen a number of potentially interesting partnerships if the captains choose to carry the practice through to the actual match. Tiger Woods has been playing regularly with his Presidents Cup partner Steve Stricker and Rory McIlroy has been partnering US Open Champion Graeme McDowell. Another interesting set up would be to see the practice partners Ian Poulter and Padraig Harrington together. Europe team boss Colin Montgomerie seems to have more options than his American counterpart and this may be partly the reason why bookmakers are making Europe the 8/11 favourites to win the Ryder Cup again in 2010. This price is currently available with Boylesports. If you fancy a close run match and things to end up as a tie the odds of reward would be 12/1 and bookmakers Skybet, Bet 365 and William Hill will lay that price.
Woods And Kaymer Top The Points Scorer Charts
A popular wager for the Ryder Cup is to forecast which player will score the most points for each individual team. The current favourites for each side are Martin Kaymer for Europe at 11/2 with Sportingbet and Coral and Tiger Woods for USA at 5/1 with Boylesports and VC Bet.
