Money For Matt Baker In Strictly Come Dancing Odds Amid Rumours That Kara Tointon Could Quit
Saturday 09 October 2010 at 14:07
Matt Baker was attracting plenty of support in the betting odds for Strictly Come Dancing 2010 after last week's performance but punters have become even more interested in the Countryfile presenter after rumours have surfaced that his main market rival may be on the verge of quitting the show.
Rumours Surface That Kara Tointon May Quit SCD
The rumour mongers have been working overtime with Kara Tointon since she made her first appearance on Strictly Come Dancing initially suggesting that a romance had blossomed between the former Eastenders actress and her professional dance partner Artem Chigvintsev. Now it seems Chigvintsev has cooled on the romance and wants to focus on the competition and the rumours are that Tointon is considering quitting the competition. Consequently her odds to win the Strictly glitter ball have been drifting and 9/2 is now available with William Hill, Blue Square and VC Bet. Matt Bakers supporters have been pressing up their bets in light of the ‘news' about Tointon and Baker is a stand-out 11/5 with Boylesports, although the presenter is as short as 6/4 elsewhere.
Peter Shilton Favourite For First Elimination
Tonight's show sees the first elimination and former England goalkeeper Peter Shilton is the 5/2 favourite to be the first celebrity to leave the show. This price is available with Bet365, Stan James and Boylesports. Paul Daniels is next in the bookies list to be leaving first and is 3/1 with VC Bet and William Hill. Gavin Henson surprised many people last week with a smooth waltz but the rugby player may not be so comfortable when the tempo increases and Skybet may have taken a chance at pricing him up at 50/1 to be leaving the show tonight.
