Strictly Come Dancing Betting Odds See Moves For Scott Maslen And Pamela Stephenson
Monday 11 October 2010 at 18:15
One of our early recommendations to win Strictly Come Dancing, Scott Maslen, showed he is not just a pretty face on Saturday evening when giving an impressive display of the salsa. Also impressing the judges (and the betting public) was comedienne Pamela Stephenson who joint top-scored despite falling over during her routine.
Maslen Gunning For Top Spot In SCD Betting Market
Scott Maslen is dispelling those who doubted he would be a hit on the dancefloor and the former Eastenders actor is gaining plenty of betting support and from an early double figure price is now best priced at 11/2 with Boylesports. Maslen could soon be challenging the current favourites on the show, Matt Baker (2/1 with Ladbrokes and William Hill) and Kara Tointon (9/2 with Sportingbet).
The other celebrity who made a move in the betting market after Saturday's show was comedienne and psychologist Pamela Stephenson. Despite topping the judges' scorecard in week one, Stephenson was still available at 20/1 in midweek as punters obviously thought her success in the waltz was a one off. However her salsa proved just as successful and Stephenson is now into a best of 10/1 with Boylesports, William Hill and Blue Square.
Ann Widdecombe Records Lowest Score Ever But Makes It Through
Ann Widdecombe is becoming the main talking point on Strictly Come Dancing and her salsa with partner Anton Du Beke was a sight to behold. Judge Craig Revel Horwood was for once lost for words but rewarded Widdecombe with the lowest score ever given by a judge; a one! Nevertheless some bookies saw fit to cut the former MP's price as her popularity soars and punters should take the 66/1 available with VC Bet before it runs out.
