Frank Rijkaard Next Liverpool Manager Odds Now Make Him Almost Certain To Replace Hodgson
Friday 22 October 2010 at 11:19
According to the Next Liverpool Manager Odds Frank Rijkaard is likely to be appointed sooner rather than later with the bookies quoting long odds on about his chances. Roy Hodgson is also odds on not to last the season as manager of Liverpool and it looks as though these two changes will be made very soon.
All The Money For Hodgson To Go Sooner Rather Than Later
The odds on Roy Hodgson lasting the season as Liverpool manager are currently as big as 11/4 with Paddy Power, you can get just 2/7 with Paddy Power that Hodgson is not in charge at the end of the season. Hodgson is expected to be the Next Premiership Manager To Go, SkyBet and Ladbrokes both make him just 4/6 to be next out. This seems more about the new owners than it does his performance as manager so far and it looks as though the new owners have already lined up Frank Rijkaard to replace Hodgson, he is as short as 2/7 with William Hill to get the job but can still be backed at best odds of 4/7 with SkyBet.
Delay In Rijkaard Deal Likely To Lead To Money For O'Neill And Dalglish
It looks as though there is already a deal pretty much in place here and if Hodgson is sacked in the next week then that announcement should shortly be followed by Rijkaard's appointment. If it is not then it may start to look like Rijkaard hasn't been lined up. That would give both Martin O'Neill and Kenny Dalglish hope of getting the job, both of them are rated at 12/1 with SkyBet currently and out of the two it is Dalglish who may make more appeal, he was very interested in the job in the summer and it would go over well with most Liverpool fans. Ottmar Hitzfeld and Manuel Pelligrini also seem to be options for the new Liverpool owners, both managers are priced up at 14/1 with SkyBet.
