Monday 25 October 2010 at 14:36
The race for the Formula One Drivers Championship is the most open in years according to the F1 Drivers Championship Odds with four drivers still in with a great chance of winning with just two races left this season.
Alonso In the Driving Seat With Webber Nearest Threat
The result of the Korean Grand Prix at the weekend means several drivers still have a chance of winning the F1 Drivers Championship, the favourite is Fernando Alonso, who has not won the F1 Drivers Championship since completing back to back wins in 2006. Fernando Alonso is odds on in the F1 Drivers Championship Odds and can be backed at 8/11 with Paddy Power and Stan James and he has his five wins this season to thank for that. Mark Webber is Alonso's closest rival by some distance, he is eleven points off the lead having led the championship for most of the season, he is now rated at 11/5 with Bet365 and William Hill.
Still A Chance Britain Will Have A Winner Again
Englishman Lewis Hamilton won the title two years ago and he is still in the hunt although he has some serious ground to make up if he is to keep the F1 Drivers Championship in Britain for the third year running. Lewis Hamilton is currently 21 points off Alonso and it looks as though his luck may have turned, Hamilton is 14/1 with Boylesports, ahead of Sebastian Vettel who still has a major chance, he is 16/1 with Boylesports and Betfred. Mathematically Jenson Button still has a chance of retaining the F1 Drivers Championship but he looks out of it at 500/1 with Betfred currently.
