World Cup 2018 Host Betting Odds Have England Odds On Favourites
Wednesday 27 October 2010 at 11:36
World Cup 2018 HostsThe World Cup 2018 Hosts betting odds make England the odds on favourites to win the vote and host the World Cup 2018. The race is now down to four bids and with the FIFA delegates meeting for the final time on Thursday before they make a decision we expect the World Cup 2018 Host betting odds to prove very popular this week.

England Strongly Expected To Get World Cup Go Ahead

A decision will be made on December 2nd 2010 and the closer we get to that time, the shorter the World Cup 2018 Host betting odds are likely to get on the favourites. England are currently expected to win the bid, they have pretty much been favourites from pillar to post having not hosted the World Cup since 1966 and can currently be backed at best odds of 4/5 with Coral whilst Ladbrokes go slightly shorter at 8/11. England won the World Cup the last time they hosted it so should they win the World Cup 2018 bid they would be a good bet to go all the way in eight years time. They are not expected to make a huge impact in Brazil in four years time though, you can get 20/1 with Stan James that England win the 2014 World Cup whilst they are as short as 12/1 with Ladbrokes.

Russia Second Favourites Despite English Dispute

If England are to miss out on hosting the World Cup it seems the most likely nation to benefit will be Russia. England have currently lodged a complaint about Russia after they made remarks about things such as under aged drinking in England, that hasn't stopped Russia from becoming second favourites as they are just 6/4 with Ladbrokes and slightly better at 2/1 with Coral. It is Ladbrokes who go best price about the joint bid from Spain and Portugal, they are third best at the moment in the pecking order and look likely to miss out, you can back the Spain and Portugal bid at 7/1 with Ladbrokes and just 4/1 with Coral. The outsiders appear to be Belgium and the Netherlands, they hosted the European Championships recently and that may count against them, they are 25/1 with both Ladbrokes and Coral.
