Strictly Come Dancing Betting Odds Cant Split Scott Maslen And Matt Baker
Monday 01 November 2010 at 17:31
Eastenders actor Scott Maslen scored a near perfect score of thirty-nine on Saturday and saw the bookmakers elevate him to just a shade behind favourite Matt Baker in the Strictly Come Dancing betting odds.
Maslen Waltzes To High Score
Scott Maslen just missed out on a perfect score of forty on Saturday for his Viennese Waltz with partner Natalie Lowe but bookmakers have now realised that Maslen is a serious challenger for the Strictly Come Dancing title and now make the actor a 2/1 shot to win series eight. Bookmakers Bet 365, Boylesports and Victor Chandler all still go 2/1 but he is as short as 13/8 elsewhere.
Favourite Matt Baker could only record the third highest score on the night with his Argentine Tango but the bookies remain reluctant to push out Baker's price and the Countryfile presenter is a best-priced 15/8 with Paddy Power, Sportingbet and William Hill.
Kara Tointon scored an excellent thirty-seven out of forty for her Paso Doble but Ms Tointon seems to be the celeb that the bookies want to get as they pushed her price out once again to a best of 13/2 with Skybet.
Market springer Ann Widdecombe continues to attract support and the former MP is a best priced 20/1 with Victor Chandler and is as short as 10/1 elsewhere after being 125/1 early on in proceedings.
