White Christmas A Possible As Freezing Temperatures On The Way
Tuesday 23 November 2010 at 13:01
It seems all White Christmas 2010 bookmaker prices will be cut this week as the weather forecasters are predicting the first cold snap of 2010.
Arctic winds are expected to announce the arrival of winter in harsh fashion this week, Sporting Index predicts temperatures will fall even further, with 14.9 °C below freezing expected to be the lowest reading in the UK this winter.
When temperatures become colder betting becomes hotter and Coral, Ladbrokes and William Hill are expected to trim the odds of a White Christmas this week. London is currently on offer at 5/1 with Ladbrokes and 6/1 with William Hill and 7/1 with Coral. Spread betting firm Sporting Index predicts Wednesday 19th January 2011 will be winter's coldest day.
A bitingly cold winter last year saw the UK experience mean temperatures 1.5 to 2.0C below the 1971-2000 normal over England and Wales, 2.0 to 2.5C below over Northern Ireland and 2.5 to 3.5C below over Scotland. It remains to be seen how cold Britain will be this winter but if the forecasters are correct (toss a coin) then 2010 could hopefully see a White Christmas.
To place your White Christmas bets visit Coral, Ladbrokes or William Hill or go to spread betting firm Sporting Index. You can also check the odds for your town and city and take advantage of a range of free bets for new customers.
