Cheltenham Festival 2011 Odds Change More For Hurricane Fly Than Big Zeb After Leopardstown Runs
Wednesday 29 December 2010 at 14:07
Big Zeb and Hurricane Fly put their Cheltenham Festival hopes on the line on Wednesday afternoon at Leopardstown and both came through with flying colours, although it seems the bookies were more impressed by the Champion Hurdle contender than the Champion Chase contender as we get more clues for the Cheltenham Festival 2011.
Champion Chase Odds Remain Largely Unchanged
Big Zeb did enough at Leopardstown to justify his even money tag but the bookies weren't impressed enough by his faultless display of jumping, most bookies left his Champion Chase odds unchanged although Bet365 and Coral were amongst the bookies to shorten Big Zeb slightly. The best odds Big Zeb can now be backed at are 7/2, that price is available with Bet365, who offer up to £200 in free bets to new customers, whilst Boylesports, Stan James and William Hill also offer 7/2. Master Minded remains the favourite but he is bigger odds than in previous years at 15/8 with Sportingbet.
Hurricane Fly Impresses Once Again
Hurricane Fly looks well on course for the 2011 Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham, he won very easily at Leopardstown and was shortened from around 11/2 to just 3/1 in places, although you can still get 7/2 with Bet365 and SkyBet. Those odds now make him the favourite ahead of Menorah at 9/2 with Bet365 and last year's winner Binocular who is 5/1 with Bet365 and Stan James.
