Chris Hughton Now Clear Favourite In Next West Brom Manager Odds
Tuesday 08 February 2011 at 10:52
There have been further changes in the Next West Brom Manager Betting Odds in the past 24 hours, Sam Allardyce, who was second favourite in the Next West Brom Manager Odds, has ruled himself out of the running leaving the way clear for several other contenders.
Hughton And Jol Favourites To Replace Di Matteo
The most likely contender now to get the job at the West Brom seems to be former Newcastle manager Chris Hughton, he has been solidly backed ever since Roberto Di Matteo was sacked on Sunday and he is now a best price of 9/4 with Bet365, who offer up to £200 in free bets to new customers. The main threat to Hughton returning to management is former West Brom player Martin Jol. Ironically Hughton was number two to Jol at Spurs and it seems Jol is most likely to get the job if Hughton misses out. Martin Jol would be a bit of a coup for West Brom and his odds continue to fall, he is down to 3/1 with Boylesports but you can still get 6/1 with Victor Chandler.
Former Man Utd Player Amongst Well Fancied Candidates
There is a growing trend in football these days to appoint the caretaker manager on a full time basis if he does a half decent job, currently in charge of West Brom is Michael Appleton. The 35 year old would be yet another Premiership manager who has played for Man Utd under Sir Alex Ferguson should he get the job and the bookies think there is a good chance he will be appointed, he is 7/1 with SkyBet at the moment in the Next West Brom Manager Odds. There appears to be two other managers who still have a strong chance of getting the job, Roy Hodgson is currently available at 8/1 with Victor Chandler and Stan James whilst Derek McInnes is 9/1 with Victor Chandler.
