Monday 21 February 2011 at 12:01
The Oscars 2011 are less than a week away now and according to the Oscars 2011 Betting Odds the two main protagonists, The King's Speech and The Social Network, will be dominating the evening and look certain to pick up Best Picture and Best Director between them.
King's Speech and Social Network Should Dominate
The King's Speech is almost certain to win the Oscars Best Picture, it had been very close between The King's Speech and The Social Network but since the BAFTAs, where The King's Speech won the award, you can now get just 1/5 with Bet365 and Sportingbet on The King's Speech whilst The Social Network is 4/1 with Bet365 and SkyBet. The Social Network should gain revenge in the Best Director category, just like it did at the BAFTAs, David Fincher is the favourite at 8/13 with Bet365 and Coral whilst Tom Hooper is now 6/4 with Victor Chandler.
The Fighter Set For Two Major Awards
The King's Speech should also be successful in Best Actor, Colin Firth is the ridiculously hot favourite for that and is just 1/100 with Victor Chandler, SkyBet offer best odds of 1/33. Black Swan should pick up a major Oscar for Best Actress, Natalie Portman is 1/9 with Victor Chandler whilst The Fighter could be successful in both of the supporting categories, Christian Bale was amazing in that film and is just 1/6 with William Hill and Coral to win Best Supporting Actor whilst Melissa Leo is favourite for Best Supporting Actress at 1/2 with Victor Chandler and Sportingbet.
