Tuesday 08 March 2011 at 10:26
Crufts 2011 Betting Odds have been released by William Hill and they are predicting the most controversial Crufts ever after a mongrel was allowed into the competition this year.
Could This Be Most Controversial Show In Competition's History
This will be the first time ever that a ‘mongrel' has been allowed to enter the Crufts competition and it has certainly been a controversial decision, William Hill's Rupert Adams think it will be the most unpopular decision ever if she wins Best In Breed:
"We understand that many breeders are up in arms that the Kennel Club have allowed Fiona to compete and should she win it would be the most controversial result in the history of the competition,"
For those who think Fiona can win Best In Breed there are good odds available, William Hill are currently offering 16/1 on the most controversial result ever.
Bookie Torn Between Hound And Terrier For Best In Show Favourite
Probably the most popular award at Crufts is the Best In Show and we have joint favourites in the betting for this with William Hill, it is split between a Hound and a Terrier, both at 7/2 with William Hill. The betting for Best In Show is very tight, the outsider of the field is a Toy but that is 6/1 with William Hill and still holds a more than fair chance. Sandwiched in the middle are Gundog and Pastoral, both at 5/1 with William Hill and Utility and Working that are available at 11/2 with William Hill.
