Champion Hurdle 2011 Tips And Betting Odds Mean Previous Festival Form Should Be Followed
Tuesday 15 March 2011 at 11:43
The Champion Hurdle is the highlight of day one of the Cheltenham Festival 2011 and the Champion Hurdle Tips suggest it is often best to follow previous Cheltenham Festival form in this race and this is backed up by the Champion Hurdle Odds.
Menorah Has The Trends Edge Over Hurricane Fly
At the moment both Hurricane Fly and Menorah are disputing favouritism in the Champion Hurdle betting, the stats are very much against Hurricane Fly though as the last ten Champion Hurdle winners have all run well at a previous Festival (finished at least fourth). At the same sort of odds of 4/1 Menorah looks a good bet, he won at the Cheltenham Festival last year and also won at the course on his last start, beating hot favourite in the Supreme Novices Hurdle, Cue Card.
Peddlers Cross And Khyber Kim To Others With Festival Form
Another Champion Hurdle runner who won at last year's Cheltenham Festival is Peddlers Cross, he is expected to go off the third favourite at around 9/2, although a gamble could still see him go off favourite. Peddlers Cross has form over further so he will be staying on well up the hill. Possibly the best each way shout could be last year's second Khyber Kim. Only beaten by Binocular last year (who was the hot favourite for this race before being ruled out on Sunday) and at as big as 14/1 he has a great chance of running into a place.
