Champions League Quarter Final Draw Sees Chelsea Paired With Man Utd
Friday 18 March 2011 at 11:30
A great Champions League Quarter Final Draw was made today and there is an all English Quarter Final with Chelsea taking on Man Utd whilst Real Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho come to England to face Spurs.
All Spanish Final Now Impossible – Giants Could Meet In Semi
Barcelona have shortened in the Champions League betting having drawn Shakhtar Donetsk, Barcelona are down to 5/4 with Paddy Power whilst Shakhtar are out to 33/1 with William Hill, although Shakhtar will look a good bet to win the home leg with their great home record. Second favourites Real Madrid will meet the winner of that game in the semi final if they beat Spurs, Madrid are down to 9/2 with Paddy Power whilst Spurs could provide yet another upset, they look big at 20/1 with William Hill now.
Chelsea Play Man Utd In Repeat Of Moscow Final
The highlight for English fans could be Chelsea v Man Utd, a repeat of the 2008 final. There could well be at least one English team in the final as the winner of that tie plays the winner of Inter Milan v Schalke. Chelsea and Man Utd are now given an equal chance of winning the Champions League, they are both 7/1 with William Hill. Inter Milan have shortened after being given what looked the easiest draw against Schalke, last year's champions are down to 10/1 with Paddy Power whilst their opponents Schalke, who are the last German side in the competition, are 50/1 with William Hill.
