Lincoln Handicap 2011 Odds And Tips Suggest Docofthebay Could Be Each Way Alternative To Taqleed
Friday 01 April 2011 at 10:44
The first big race of the flat turf season takes place at Doncaster on Saturday and the William Hill Lincoln Handicap is shaping up to be a great race. Taqleed has been favourite in the Lincoln 2011 Betting Odds for months now and has been a very popular Lincoln Handicap Tip in the past couple of weeks.
Taqleed Red Hot Favourite But Very Short Odds
Taqleed has been extremely well backed and it will be a dark day for the bookies should he win as he is now best odds of 4/1 with Coral and William Hill and that is very short for a race of this nature. He should at least have the ground in his favour with it expected to be on the soft side of good but it could still pay to look elsewhere. Prime Exhibit, who came second in the race last year should also be served well by the underfoot conditions and is a fair bet at 10/1 with William Hill whilst the other favourites, Gunner Lindley and Irish Heartbeat, who are 10/1 and 11/1 respectively with Totesport should also be in the thick of things.
Docofthebay Could Be Best Each Way Bet Of The Day
There could be some good each way value on a few of the other runners who are bigger odds in the Lincoln Handicap. Docofthebay has a great record in big handicaps, often finishing second, and he has placed in half his runs to date and is well handicapped after his latest second in a listed race, he should be backed each way at 20/1 with Stan James. Tartan Gigha is another strong handicapper who could easily run his way into the places at 20/1 with Bet365, whilst it would be no surprise to see a big run from Harrison George at 33/1 with Coral, he is a classy horse and has conditions to suit.
