Harry Redknapp Next Chelsea Manager Odds Make Him New Favourite
Thursday 26 May 2011 at 10:22
Harry Redknapp is the new favourite in the Next Chelsea Manager Odds after being extremely well supported to succeed Carlo Ancelotti in the past couple of days. He is now slightly more likely to take the job than Guus Hiddink according to the odds, despite the Dutchman being linked with the job again in the press today.
Redknapp May Have To Decide Between Chelsea And England
Harry Redknapp was perhaps surprisingly short at around 8/1 when Carlo Ancelotti was sacked, many thought that Roman Abramovich would be looking for more fashionable managers than Redknapp whilst Redknapp might also want to play it safe with the England job up for grabs in 12 months time, a job that he is favourite to get. Many punters have thought otherwise though, the 8/1 is long gone and Redknapp is now as short as 15/8 with Paddy Power whilst Stan James offer the best odds of 11/4.
Hiddink Still A Solid Choice To Return To Stamford Bridge
Guus Hiddink remains the close second favourite and he has again been linked strongly with the job in the press this morning after he suggested that he missed the day to day involvement of club management. Hiddink can be backed at 3/1 with Coral and he could still prove the best bet, he has a proven track record with Abramovich and is loved by the Chelsea fans. Former favourite Marco Van Basten is out to 4/1 with Paddy Power and Betfred whilst the only other manager with single figure odds at the moment is Andre Villas-Boas, the Porto manager was as short as 2/1 on Sunday but is now 7/1 with Stan James. The likes of Jose Mourinho seem unlikely to take the job now, he is out to 18/1 with Paddy Power. For all the latest Next Chelsea Manager Ods click on any of the orange bookie links above.
