Marco Van Basten Favourite Again In Next Chelsea Manager Odds Ahead Of Redknapp
Friday 27 May 2011 at 10:30
There has been another twist in the Next Chelsea Manager Odds, Harry Redknapp was backed into odds on with most bookies yesterday yet today he isn’t even the favourite anymore, Marco Van Basten has returned to the head of the betting.
Van Basten Overtakes Redknapp In Betting
Marco Van Basten was the favourite in the Next Chelsea Manager Odds earlier in the week but it looked as though his chance had gone when he drifted in the betting and Harry Redknapp became the odds on favourite. Van Basten traded at 7/1 yesterday but the money has returned for the Dutch manager who has only ever manager Holland and Ajax, he can now be backed at just 7/2 with Bet365 whilst SkyBet go as short as 6/4. The money for Harry Redknapp seemed a bit strange as it was hard to believe that he would become the Chelsea manager and it seems he won’t after all, after being odds on with most bookies he has drifted dramatically and is now trading at 4/1 with Victor Chandler.
Hiddink Still Looks The Best Bet For Abramovich
The man who has always been amongst the favourites in the Next Chelsea Manager Odds is Guus Hiddink and he still seems to have outstanding claims of replacing Carlo Ancelotti at Stamford Bridge. Guus Hiddink is well respected by the Chelsea fans after his short stint there two years ago and he is apparently still paid by Roman Abramovich as an advisor so he still has a good relationship with the Chelsea owner, which could be the biggest factor for anyone getting the job. Hiddink is available at 9/2 with William Hill and still looks the logical choice and the best bet at the moment. There are seemingly few other contenders, Andre Villas-Boas is next best at 9/1 with SkyBet.
