Martin Jol Next Fulham Manager Odds Make Dutchman Favourite Ahead Of Martin O Neill
Monday 06 June 2011 at 09:58
Martin O’Neill has been overtaken in the Next Fulham Manager Odds by former Spurs manager Martin Jol and the two are now clear in the betting with one of the pair expected to be unveiled at Craven Cottage in the next week.
Martin Jol Winning Race To Become Manager At Craven Cottage
Martin Jol and Martin O’Neill have always been the front runners in the Next Fulham Manager Odds but initially it was Martin O’Neill who looked by far the most likely choice, he fits in with the strategy that has been used in recent years of appointing solid British managers such as Roy Hodgson and Mark Hughes and that strategy has certainly been paying off. Martin O’Neill is now out to 11/4 with Stan James and Coral currently as punters choose to back Martin Jol instead, the former Tottenham and Ajax manager would surely jump at the chance to return to the Premiership and the odds suggest he may well be Fulham manager soon, you can now get just 2/1 with Paddy Power and 11/8 with most other bookies.
McClaren Looks More Likely Than Clark Currently
The two ‘back up’ choices still remain the same in the Next Fulham Manager Odds but they offer very different qualities. Former England manager Steve McClaren is also being linked with the vacant job at Aston Villa and he is 10/1 with Bet365 to land the Fulham job. McClaren was a huge failure as England manager but rebuilt his reputation somewhat at FC Twente and the fact that Middlesbrough have gone from the UEFA Cup Final to the Championship would suggest he was doing a decent job there too. Slightly less likely at 12/1 with Coral is Lee Clark, a former Fulham player who recently failed to gain promotion with Huddersfield after losing out in the Playoffs final. He looks a manager on the up but this may come round a bit too soon. For more Next Fulham Manager Odds click on any of the orange bookie links above.
