Alex McLeish And David Moyes Backed In Next Aston Villa Manager Odds
Monday 13 June 2011 at 11:04
Alex McLeish has been well supported in the Next Aston Villa Manager Odds in the past 24 hours following his resignation at Birmingham but there has also been money for Everton manager David Moyes in what has been one of the most interesting Next Manager markets in recent years.
Alex McLeish Takes Over Favouritism From David Moyes
We have already seen many managers become favourite in the Next Aston Villa Manager Odds, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafa Benitez and Roberto Martinez have all turned the job down and it now looks as though Aston Villa are targeting a British manager with Alex McLeish and David Moyes the best backed managers currently. McLeish quit Birmingham on Sunday leading to speculation he wants the Villa Park job, he is now down to 7/4 with Coral and Blue Square whilst SkyBet offer just 11/10. David Moyes is a best price 7/2 with Stan James but is 2/1 in places, it remains open to question as to whether or not a move from Everton to Villa is a great career move but the punters seem to think it is.
Mark Hughes Also Still On The Villa Shortlist
It looks as though Randy Lerner has narrowed his shortlist down to three, the other manager who remains one of the favourites in the Next Aston Villa Manager Odds is Mark Hughes. He quit Fulham recently and said it wasn’t to take up a job elsewhere but it seems he could yet become the Aston Villa boss, he is a best price of 4/1 with Bet365 and SkyBet to be appointed. Owen Coyle was yet another manager to be favourite last week, his chance seems to have gone though as he is now 20/1 with Victor Chandler behind Frank Rijkaard who is available at 16/1 with Bet365.
