Fabregas And Clichy Expected To Leave Arsenal But Nasri Set To Stay
Friday 24 June 2011 at 10:22
There looks to be some big transfers set to go through at Arsenal this summer and the latest bookies’ odds suggest that it is bad news for the Gunners with Cesc Fabregas and Gael Clichy set to leave the club but there is good news as Samir Nasri is odds on to stay at The Emirates Stadium.
Fabregas Already On His Way To Spain According To Odds
The big news today is that Barcelona have once again made Cesc Fabregas their top summer target and they have launched a bid for the Spanish midfielder that has been rejected by Arsenal, with the Gunners set to hold out for closer to £60m. Barcelona have been reluctant to pay that sort of money in the past and it could be the same case again but the bookies think he is set to leave the club, Victor Chandler have cut the odds of Fabregas joining Barcelona from 4/5 to 1/2. The chances of him staying at Arsenal seem to be pretty slim because of this new bid, Victor Chandler are now offering 6/4 that he is still at Arsenal when the summer transfer window shuts and you can get 11/2 with Victor Chandler that Fabregas joins Real Madrid instead of Barcelona.
Clichy Also Likely To Leave But Good News On Nasri
It also seems that Gael Clichy is going to be leaving Arsenal, he has been touted around for a surprisingly low fee of £7m or so and there are sure to be takers at that sort of price, Liverpool and Roma seem to be the most likely destinations for Clichy as you can get 6/4 with SkyBet on both those sides. Italy does seem a likely destination for Clichy with Juventus next best at 3/1 with SkyBet. There is some good news for Arsenal though as it looks as though Samir Nasri is going to be staying at Arsenal for at least another season, Victor Chandler are offering just 1/2 that he is still there next season, if he does move then Man Utd is by far the most likely destination at 15/8 with Victor Chandler.
