Frankel Proving More Popular Than Canford Cliffs In Sussex Stakes Odds And Tips

 The Sussex Stakes is being billed as the race of the season this week at Goodwood with top milers Canford Cliffs and Frankel meeting for the first time and the OLBG tipsters are firmly siding with the unbeaten three year old Frankel who has taken the majority of tips for Wednesday’s showpiece which is being billed as the ‘Duel on the Downs’.
Frankel Fancied To Get The Measure Of Canford Cliffs
Frankel is winning the battle with both the bookies and the OLBG tipsters at the moment, the two are closely matched in the betting but it is Henry Cecil’s Frankel who is the favourite at 5/6 whilst Richard Hannon’s Canford Cliffs is available at 11/8 currently. The OLBG Tipsters don’t think it will be as close as the odds suggest as currently almost 63% of tipsters have gone for Frankel in the race to preserve his unbeaten record whilst just 37% think Canford Cliffs will win the race for the second year running. Despite being the odds on favourite, this would suggest that Frankel is better value than his rival Canford Cliffs.
No Other Horses Attracting Support
The two horses have attracted 100% of the tips so far, which is mainly down to the fact that the two favourites should finish well clear of the rest and also that they have scared off most of the opposition who are probably running for third place at best, it still remains to be seen what else will take the big two on. The Sussex Stakes 2011 promises to be an amazing race and one that will prove if Frankel is an all time great or not, his amazing six length win in the 2000 Guineas suggest he is but his 3/4 length beating of Zoffany in the St James Palace Stakes, where many think jockey Tom Queally committed for home too soon, suggested he can be beaten.
