Christmas Number One 2011 Odds Have Military Wives Choir Clear Of Little Mix And Nirvana
Monday 19 December 2011 at 10:55
It looks to be a three horse race for Christmas Number One 2011 although you could be forgiven for thinking it is a one horse race with the Military Wives Choir, who were already odds on last week, being extremely well backed in the seven days and looking a shoe in for the festive number one next week.
Little Mix Expected To Struggle To Stay On Top For Two Weeks
In previous years the Christmas charts have been dominated by the X Factor but more recently there has been a bit of a backlash to this domination and this year’s winners Little Mix are up against it a little more as for the first time their single has been released the week before Christmas, perhaps as a ploy to ensure they have at least one week at number one with the week before Christmas releases often being quite weak. Little Mix did enjoy a number one hit with their first single Cannonball and despite 21.4% of OLBG tipsters backing Little Mix for the Christmas Number One the bookies aren’t quite so optimistic as you can get 14/1 with Bet365 and SkyBet on Little Mix being the Christmas Number One.
Military Wives Choir Long Odds On For Festive Hit
The hot favourites for the Christmas Number One this year are the Military Wives Choir who are strongly expected to be this year’s Christmas winners. At the moment 71.4% of OLBG tipsters have backed them and hopefully most of them got last week’s odds or bigger, last week they were available at 4/7 but those odds are long gone and after a fierce week of punting in this market the best odds available on the Military Wives Choir are 1/12 with William Hill and Boylesports. SkyBet are most convinced as they offer just 1/25! Amazon reported as couple of weeks ago that it was their best selling single ever (just from pre orders) so it would be a surprise if those odds were overturned. If Little Mix don’t apply the most pressure to the Military Wives Choir then Nirvana could could go close. An online campaign to get Nirvana to number one doesn’t look like it will be as popular as the ‘Rage Against The X Factor’ campaign but Nirvana are given an equal chance to Little Mix at 14/1 with Bet365 although many bookies have them shorter than Little Mix.
