Transfer News From Spurs Has Samba And Hoilett More Likely Than Rodallega
Tuesday 31 January 2012 at 10:10
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is in court today then Spurs are in action against Wigan tonight but it seems they still may find time to bring some players in, and get rid of some fringe players. The bookies are offering odds on where all the top players are heading this January Transfer Window and signings and departures could be imminent.
Spurs Against The Clock To Make Signings
The name banded about the most this morning has been Wigan striker Huge Rodallega. There is talk that he could play against Spurs tonight and then sign for the club but the bookies don’t seem confident of that deal going through, at the time of writing Spurs are fourth favourites to sign Rodallega! Spurs can be backed at 13/2 with SkyBet to sign Rodallega today and those odds put them behind Fulham who are 11/4 and also QPR and Stoke who are both 3/1 chances with SkyBet. Those odds mean that Rodallega is less likely to join Spurs than Blackburn pair Junior Hoilett and Chris Samba. Both players are 3/1 with SkyBet but Spurs could face competition for Samba, Spurs are favourites to sign Hoilett but are second favourites to sign Samba, QPR head the queue for the massive defender at the moment and Mark Hughes is just 4/5 to sign Samba.
Outgoings Also Look Likely At Spurs
There aren’t many other players being linked with Spurs, certainly not that the bookies are offering odds on, but there are odds available on the futures of some players who are likely to leave the club sooner rather than later. Roman Pavlyuchenko seems to have finally burned all his bridges at the club and there seem to be plenty of options, Russian billionaires Anzhi are favourites at 4/1 with SkyBet whilst Spartak Moscow are 12/1 and Zenit St Petersburg are 14/1 to snap up Pavlyuchenko today. Steven Pienaar could also be on his way out a year after joining Spurs for £3m, it looks as though Daniel Levy wants his money back on the midfielder if he is to move and QPR are hot favourites to stump up the cash, they can be backed at just 6/4 with SkyBet to snap up the South African today. A return to Everton looks the next most likely option but that is a much bigger price at 11/1 with SkyBet.
