Transfer Deadline Day News About Carlos Tevez, Hugo Rodallega, Chris Samba, Michael Owen And More
Tuesday 31 January 2012 at 10:56
It’s Transfer Deadline Day which means managers are desperately trying to bring players in and get players out, newspaper journalists are linking every player with every club possible and of course Jim White must be trending on Twitter all day long. SkyBet are offering odds on the futures of many top players and with the bookies putting up their own money about where players are heading in the January Transfer Window the transfer odds have more credibility than many of the transfer stories floating around.
Carlos Tevez Unlikely To Find A New Club
Probably the biggest transfer saga this month has been the Carlos Tevez affair, it seems the Argentinean doesn’t want to play for Man City but doesn’t want to play for any of the clubs interested in him either and as a result the bookies think he will stay at Man City until the summer with SkyBet offering just 8/15 that he remains put and 11/8 that he leaves the club today. If he does move then AC Milan could be his most likely destination, they are 15/8 with SkyBet to sign the players whilst QPR are 4/1 and Liverpool are 5/1 with SkyBet. Meanwhile one of the biggest stories today revolves around the future of Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega. He is likely to be in action at White Hart Lane tonight but SkyBet don’t think he will be joining Tottenham after the game like many are suggesting, Spurs are 13/2 with SkyBet to sign the player, fourth in the pecking order behind Fulham at 11/4 and QPR and Stoke at 3/1 (all odds with SkyBet).
Zaha Amongst Most Likely Deadline Day Deals
Another high profile player who could be on the move is Man Utd’s Michael Owen. It seems Brighton are interested in bringing Owen to the Championship but they are 11/4 to sign him today and that looks a deal that won’t happen until the summer at the earliest. Highly rated Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha could be on the move from the Championship to the Premiership, this morning he has been backed from 2/1 to 8/13 with SkyBet to sign for Bolton who are still splashing their Gary Cahill money. Chris Samba is another player whose future has been widely speculated about this month and despite a transfer request it seems he might miss out on a move, he is only 4/5 with SkyBet to move and 10/11 to stay put for the rest of the season. If he does move then QPR are odds on favourites to sign the player whilst Spurs are next in line for the defender at 3/1 with SkyBet. There are plenty of other players who could move today, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Junior Hoilett and Eden Hazard are all amongst the players on whom SkyBet are offering transfer odds, click on any of the orange bookie links above to check those odds out.
