Premiership Relegation Odds Suggest Blackburn And Bolton Will Join Wolves
Monday 23 April 2012 at 12:46
Wolves were relegated from the Premiership on Sunday afternoon after they lost to Man City and according to the latest Premiership Relegation odds it will be season long strugglers Blackburn and Bolton who join them in the Championship next season.
Blackburn And Bolton Favourites To Go down
With two spaces left for relegation it is Blackburn who are the most likely team to go down this season, they are 1/3 with Coral and William Hill to be playing Championship football this season whilst Bolton aren’t much bigger, they are currently trading at 8/13 with Blue Square to go down. Bolton could be a bit of value here as they have one less point than Blackburn at the moment (both teams are at least three points from safety currently) but they do have two games in hand, with struggling teams points on the board can be more beneficial than games in hand though. If one of the teams outside of the drop zone are to be relegated it is QPR who are favourites to do so, their win against Spurs puts them three points clear of Blackburn and on the same points as Wigan. Wigan are a much bigger price to go down though as they have plenty of momentum behind them, Wigan are 4/1 with SkyBet to be relegated this season whilst QPR are a 7/4 chance with Bet365.
Aston Villa Could Be Good Value For Surprise Relegation
The bookies are only offering odds on one other side to be relegated this season and that is Aston Villa and according to the OLBG tipsters they could be the best value to be relegated, or at the very least a good trading opportunity. Aston Villa are 14/1 with Bet365 to go down but they are as short as 9/1 with Paddy Power and Online Trader points to their next game as perhaps their most crucial:
“Huge game for Villa against Bolton on Tuesday night, a loss for them and it is going to be a real dog fight.”
Micko70 agrees and he thinks their entire run in is difficult proving that Aston Villa are the team to back to go down:
“West Brom away on Saturday too, will struggle to get anything from there. Home to Spurs and away to Norwich, 4 tricky games for McLeish's men”
