Chelsea V Barcelona Odds Suggest Chelsea Have Good Qualification Chance In Champions League Second Leg
Tuesday 24 April 2012 at 10:21
Chelsea are looking to complete ‘mission impossible’ tonight when they go to the Nou Camp with a 1-0 lead from the first leg of their Champions League Semi Final and after causing a bit of a shock with a first leg win it seems OLBG Tipsters are now embracing Chelsea’s chances of knocking Barcelona out and reaching the Champions League Final.
Barcelona Not As Popular As You’d Think After Two Straight Losses
Barcelona may be the most tipped outcome in the outright odds for this match but with odds of just 2/7 with Ladbrokes and Paddy Power you’d expect them to be getting at least 90% of the tips in the OLBG Tipster Competition but in fact they have only gained 67.5% of the tips at the time of writing which suggests they are not great value for this match. One OLBG Tipster who does fancy the chances of Barcelona is mercer:
“Barca have had a bad week losing first leg to Chelsea and lost to Madrid who now look like they will win the title but need to bounce back and think they will win easy this second leg and make the final. Chelsea are 1-0 up from the first leg and a away goal will put the pressure right on Barca so expect a good game. Barca need to come out of the blocks first and need a early goal to put Chelsea on the back foot or the longer they go without a goal the more confident Chelsea will get. Barca are amazing on there day and at home and score for fun and for me will blow Chelsea away.”
Chelsea Have A Decent Chance Of Qualification Upset
A draw or a Chelsea win would be enough to see Chelsea go through (whilst even some Barcelona victories would put Chelsea through on away goals) and between the draw and the away win at least 22.5% of OLBG tipsters think Chelsea will qualify at odds of 15/8 with Boylesports. More tipsters think Chelsea will win than draw, the draw has attracted 13.5% of tips at 11/2 with Bet365 whilst 19% of tipsters have backed Chelsea at 10/1 with BetVictor and Stan James. Apart from the outright odds the most popular market has been the correct score and a relatively large 22.4% of OLBG Tipsters have gone for a 3-1 Barcelona win at odds of 10/1 with Bet365, no other correct score has attracted even 10% of tips so that could be a good value bet in this match. Meanwhile it is no surprise to see Lionel Messi dominate the first goalscorer tips in this game, Messi has been tipped by a third of the OLBG Tipsters to open the scoring here at the current odds of 5/2 with Stan James.
