Bet365 Gold Cup Betting Odds See Money For Le Beau Bai As Rain Continues To Fall
Tuesday 24 April 2012 at 14:40
Le Beau Bai, who was well backed for the Grand National until being pulled out because of fast ground, has been well supported in the Bet365 Gold Cup Betting Odds as rain continues to fall at Esher’s Sandown Park. The going is currently soft with some very wet days to come before the Bet365 Gold Cup and it looks as though the last race of the national hunt season could be run on very testing ground.
Le Beau Bai Being Supported As Ground Gets Softer
Soft or heavy ground would make life difficult to many of the current entries who prefer good ground (and have been entered in the assumption of those conditions) but soft, or preferably heavy going would hold no fears for Le Beau Bai who has been backed from 14/1 into odds as short as 8/1. The sponsors Bet365, and a couple of other bookies, are still offering 10/1 best odds though. One OLBG Tipster who thinks Le Beau Bai has a leading chance is monkeytennis:
“Le Beau Bai looks to have improved this season and does have the handy bit of form of finishing one place (and 11 lengths) behind the Grand National winner last time out. ”
West End Rocker Another Who Will Like The Ground
West End Rocker is another horse who will appreciate cut in the ground on Saturday, he was one of the favourites for the Grand National but fell early on in the race. He won the Becher Chase earlier in the season on heavy ground by 22 lengths and he has won the last three times he has completed so he could be a strong win bet rather than an each way bet, West End Rocker is available at 10/1 with Paddy Power at the time of writing. The top weight is likely to be Tidal Bay who won the Arkle Chase at the Cheltenham Festival four years ago. Despite carrying top weight he is well handicapped on several bits of form but does find winning difficult these days and he can often get outpaced early on in his races so if you fancy Tidal Bay then you may get a bigger price than the 10/1 currently available. At bigger odds Rare Bob should appreciate the conditions but this trip could be a little far for him whilst Swing Bill would have a major chance if none the worse for completing the four and a half miles of the Grand National just a few weeks ago.
