hindsight - the events in wigan are at robin tennis park near the football ground. however pdc pro tour events are not open to the public so you wouldnt be able to get in im afaird

well after a weekend in germany there is not much change. The rankings are still the same although i have closed the gap between those above me slightly and set myself up for a good jump should i do well in spain this weekend.

saturday first round.

Drawn the greece number one John Micheal and knew this was not going to be an easy game. he taken a good lead early on going 4-1 up in this one. I fought back well with a good 12 and 14 dart leg. By this time i was confidant the doubles was going in first dart and i was finding the trebles regular. The more i hit the worse he started to get and i pulled off a great come back here to beat him 6-4.

2nd round Mark Walsh

Never one you want to play in these floor events.In this game i was playing very well as was mark and the end score shows this with a 6-5 win in his favour. again went behind in this one 4-2 but pulled it back and it went back on throw to finish off with. A missed 120 finish at the 5-4 lead is probley the only chance id have had to possibly win the game as walsh was just deadly on doubles and scoring plenty of 140s. wasnt too happy about the loss but buzzing about playing the next day.

sunday round one

I played a germany player Joost. You never no what to get when you play these un known germans so i didnt take the game light and went in with my normal attitude. Early on in the game it was a close match and although was 4-0 up it could have been alot closer. The ladt few legs went with throw and i taken this one 6-1.Had my finishing not been good early on though this could have been much closer so i was very happy taking a 6-1 into round 2.

Wayne jones round 2 and another good floor players. this game was almost a copy of the day before lossing out 6-5. I did however have a chance in this match left with 160 with 6 darts at it to take the match 6-5 and play my practice partner kevin painter in round 3. The treble didnt come till late and my one dart at a double was not enough here. Leg 10 i left myself 42 to win the game and jones taken out a big finish on the bull. It was a great game which i can only take the positives from the way ive played out there.

some more points on the board however and looking forward to spain next week. still got a chance to make the world championships and we have a wildcard spot up for grabs in 2 weeks for the grand slam too so its a good time to be playing well. Just gota avoid taylor, barny etc. in spain and hope to pick up some more needed points in this final run in
