Second that MadScot
Where to bet on him though. SkyBet offering 5 places, but Bet365 are offering the over 4/1 if Mass Rally wins _________________ System selections here at this link.

Frankel to break the course record today with still plenty left. Also for me Noble Mission will also win from stablemate T C.
I know that Olympiad is a well fancied runner from Welds Stable.
I really look forward to seeing a scintilating performance from Frankel knowing that there will be many plans to run its staminer out, but Cecil is a master, he knows the horse stays.
Good luck and enjoy, because we will see pure genius today.

I'm tipping Henry Cecil to have a big meeting , starting with the 3yo's. i can't split his 2 runners here and reckon they'll go 1-2. Then he has the champ in the Juddmonte. Wild Coco has come back a beautiful filly and I reckon is a chance to knock the more favoured runners off in the Oaks tomorrow. He seems to have his team primed and ready for this meet and I will be backing all his chances
Gee the handicaps are as tough as ever. It's good to read the various posts regarding the chances in these hard races. The form becomes a blur after a while with these big fields and I can get a better guide reading the thoughts of the guys here. Good luck with the first today. For what it's worth my bet of the day is the forecast double of Sir H.C's 3yo's into the Frankle/Twice Over f/cast @ 50-1. I'll be funding that with my winnings from Hazelrigg in the opener. |

I think there is a ground concern with Hazelrigg. The horse showed the class to win something like this earlier this year, but only with cut in the ground. One of many that I looked at for a long time! _________________ "The problem with the future is that there are more things that could happen than will happen" - Plato (liberally paraphrased)

Hazlerigg, has won once on gd fm,so ground want be a problem.
acts on any ground, has won on st to, Hazel got his reg jockey on
who won all races on him.
Also loves the track, only concern is draw but not put of of that,
still backing Hazel, as one of my favourite sprinters am flollowing.
Twice Over hopefully been nice double with Twice Over.
Very great value, sure Twice will get closer to Frankel,as he won it
last year, as Frankel not won at York, so Twice has advantage and
trip to.
Allways follow C/D winners, as sometimes they have the advantage. |

There's more to it than that though underdogslover, he was racing off a mark of 68 in a 7 runner race when he won on it and he races off 23lbs higher today. The best of his form is with cut, his form suggests that he will need to be at his best to win this, but they have been watering to maintain Good to Firm at York... it is likely on the firm side of that...
These margins can be the difference in competitive races like this. _________________ "The problem with the future is that there are more things that could happen than will happen" - Plato (liberally paraphrased)

Cannot wait to see Pearl Secret strut his stuff at Group 1 level in the Nunthorpe on Friday. He has looked a class act from day one, but this will be the ultimate test of his abilities, particularly on the quickest ground he will have encountered to date. However, he clearly possesses a huge amount of talent, and the big field and likely generous pace is going to help Spencer bury him away at the back of the field for a late charge; fascinating to see whether he can measure up to some of the planet's top sprinters.
On Saturday, I am really looking forward to seeing Fire Eyes in the Listed Roses Stakes. He is trained by David Brown and looked potentially well above average when making a winning debut in a useful enough 5f maiden at Thirsk last month, from which the fourth has since won; takes on Cosmic Chatter from the David Barron stable, a colt who came up short in the Windsor Castle but who has looked the business either side of that in lesser company. _________________ Dark Horses 2013 - Flat

Hazelrigg, yes think you right Des, that it likes the soft.
So will watch Hazelrigg, especially when the heavens open,
but then probably want get good odds, like it was on Wednesday.
Am sure its going win big race, be for season will end,
Frankel he walked it again.
Hope he will go for the Arc to , be nce to see Frankel get
another 2 extra furlongs, which he will get easily which he
did on wednesday race, winning by 7 lenghts.
It was shame Frankel did nt go for the Derby last year.
Hope Owners keep Frankel on for another year,a surperb horse. |

You never know mate, could drift under the radar. Its worth noting coz it beat some very decent animals back in July; Secret Witness, Steps, Lui Rei and Verinco and after yesterdays run has been assessed he might well be on the same mark as well...
There are back-end options for these sprinters during autumn when the ground is more likely to go for him. _________________ "The problem with the future is that there are more things that could happen than will happen" - Plato (liberally paraphrased)

Yes thats a good one Des, could drift under the radar.
which a couple of horses done this month you forget about
them, and they go onto win .
Like that 20/1 winner at Ripon this week, who won the race, last year.
As keep eye on those horses to.Thats why fancied Twice Over, very temping
good ew he was, As frankel was very short odds.. |

| Nunthorpe tomorrow looks interesting as the best pace is on the (slightly favoured) far side with Tangerine Trees sure to lead out from stall 20 against the rail. Bated Breath and Monsieur Joe likely to follow that one from stalls 15 and 17. Soul Power comes out of 18, Pearl Secret 19. Ortensia (8) has a nice tow into the race in the middle from Beyond Desire (9) and with Spirit Quartz (10) she can probably track into the race. So if there is a bias to higher numbers and no rain falls between now and race time Bated Breath looks the likeliest winner to my eyes and a combination tricast my be of interest BB, Sole Power, Pearl Secret and Monsieur Joe - MJ might be a little interesting at 33-1 1/4 odds 4 places if SkyBet offer that during the day. |
